are there any plans to add to an option to load a default list on start up? sometimes i'd like to quickly view my daily todo list without having to navigate to the list.

Sharing tasks with partners

The AppStore list of features for Geetaskspro includes "sharing tasks with partners", yet the std version suggests sharing tasks with a spouse by using the same gmail acct. Does the pro version enable sharing tasks without the same gmail account? I've tried sharing tasks within iGoogle, but it doesn't work.

My objective is to share tasks with my spouse. She has a Google account, but not an iPhone (she does have a BB). I want to use Google tasks, not one of the other 3rd party solutions. Any clarification on options is appreciated.

In the ITunes store, there is a screen shot for GeeTasks Standard and GeeTasks Pro that shows an ability to Add the Task to an Existing Contact, or Create a New Contact. I can't figure out how to get to this in my Pro version. Am I missing something? Thanks for a great app and great forum support.

Can't edit notes

Hi - Loved the lite version so much I upgraded to the regular version. I am having a problem editing my notes. The screen goes gray and I can't see what I am typing. Please advise. Thanks!

Skinnable date display?

I've always found it much easier to read dates quickly when they include words as opposed to numbers only. For example, 10-08-11 on GeeTasks takes me a moment to figure out, especially since different developers use different orders when displaying dates numerically (e.g. is the above example referring to August the 10th, 2011? October the 8th, 2011? November the 8th, 2010? or August 11, 2010?). I would LOVE to have the option of setting my dates so that they read "Tue, Sep 7 '10" under a task, or if they had to be numeric only, then at least having the year show up as four figures, as in YYYY-MM-DD, would be extremely helpful.

If this option is already available and I haven't figured it out yet, please forgive me!

Task List Counter Stuck at Zero

So in the Lists list usually my counters read something like 3/10, where 3 indicates the tasks in that list of ten that are due today, but after this most recent update it's stuck at 0/10… Thoughts?

Glitches/bugs

Problem 1:
1)Load up a task list
2)go to landscape mode
3)hit on a task to edit
4)hit the name to edit
Note the text box goes up and off the top of the screen

Problem 2:
1)create a list of tasks with sub tasks with some alphabetical names or something to order
2) hit edit, then order
notice that the sub tasks no longer are sub tasks

I hope this information helps to resolve bugs

Inbox Blank Task

When my Inbox is empty (which is most of the time), GeeTasks add a blank task which still registers on the home screen as there being 0/1 in the Inbox. Is there any way to keep this blank task from showing up every time. Thanks!

v1.22 - Tasks still disappear. New uncompleted task bug?

Was just able to download v1.22. Thank goodness for the speedup on my 3G!!! When I drag tasks on one list to re-order them, they still disappear. Though them come back if I close and restart GeeTasks.

Also, the badge of uncompleted tasks appears to be updating at sync, however the Lists view shows all 0/x even though there tasks due. New bug?

Am I missing it or is purge gone?

With the latest release I don't seem to have a way to purge completed tasks. Was this feature removed or it just moved to a new location?

Are you sure about using round checkbox buttons in the latest release? They feel very wrong to me. Isn't it a defacto standard that task checkboxes are square? I was shot down for asking if you could optionally move the checkmarks to the right hand side because it wasn't 'normal' - circular checkboxes are certainly not!

Hi thanks for making this app. Almost perfect except it makes a loud paper-shuffling noise whenever I change a task's category. Is there any way to turn off the sound? Can you add an option to do that? I don't want to let everyone around me know when I'm organizing my tasks. Thanks.

Recognize Phone numbers

Right now I have to copy n paste or memorize a phone number before I dial it. Same thing with email addresses. I'd like to just hit it and accept the "call" out prompt. I would use this feature everyday.

Latest GeeTasksPro does not work with iPhone OS 3.1.x

Latest version of GeeTasksPro 1.23 available in the App Store does not work on iPhone OS devices 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. In particular, attempts to edit a description or title field of a task will cause it to crash. You can still view tasks, mark them as complete, or create new tasks.

If you have not installed the update yet, please avoid installing it until further notice, or until you see a new version of GeeTasksPro 1.23.1 show up with the description of "fixes iPhone OS 3.1.x compatibility bug".

If you have already installed, your options are as follows:

Find an older copy of GeeTasksPro in your PC or Mac backup (such as Time Machine) of the iTunes folder, delete all old copies of GeeTasksPro both from iTunes and iPhone, drop the recovered copy into iTunes and sync your iPhone with it. After you sign-in you will be back to normal.
Upgrade your iPhone/iPod Touch to iOS 4.0 Note that iOS4 is known for being dog-slow on the older devices.
Wait until the update is released. ETA is 8/24 - the fix was submitted to Apple yesterday and they normally take 7 days to approve it.

In this beta:

A pseudo-list with all tasks from all lists. You can set sort order to "Group:Date" and see everything there is to do on a given day across all lists. Note that for the first time GeeTasks gives you something that Google does not give you even on the desktop! Pro users will get this feature for free, Std users will not be getting this feature for now, but later it will be sold as a part of "power-user pack" upgrade. The pseudo-list does not allow moving/indenting tasks, I'll see if it gets requested much.
Complete rewrite of the login code. Please try signing in and be mindful of any problems or hiccups you see in this area.
Minor tweaks to icons (checkboxes, plus sign etc). The app is now 100% retina-friendly, which required me taking out the custom spinner and restoring the standard one.

Instructions:

You must be officially registered to participate in the Beta, otherwise it won't work. Shoot me an email if you want to join (no promises though).
Download GeeTasksPro-b.24.10.ipa and drag-drop it to iTunes
Download GeeTasks_Pro_AdHoc.v16.mobileprovision and drag-drop it to iTunes. You can skip this if you've done it before.
Sync iTunes with iPhone/iTouch. If you are normally pick-and-choosing which apps to sync make sure to pick GeeTasksPro so it syncs down to the device.

Syncing Geetasks with Google Calendar Tasks?

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the option to link to a Google Calendar task list as opposed to the Mail Task List. This would help me enormously as I would like to be able to also use Mozilla 'Lightning' Extension for Thunderbird to synchronise with my Task List.

Currently:
Thunderbird (with Lightning) syncs with my Google Apps Calendar Task List
GeetasksPro syncs with my Google Apps Mail Task List

Somewhat annoying, unless someone knows of a way of syncing TB with Lightning to Google Mail Task List.

I would happily also love to be a beta tester if you are looking for any more?

Master task list?

Is there anyway for gee tasks to generate a master task list? With all tasks from every category sorted by date in ONE list? Would find this really useful ..

When moving some tasks, they gain a blank space.
