I truly enjoy the GeeTasks app. I use it every day, all day. I looked long and hard to find a good task manager, and GeeTasks is the best and easiest one to use. Hands down.

There's only one problem, however. I have so many lists and tasks that I often find it hard to find what I'm looking for. Every piece of software, whether an app, program or whatever, should have a search feature. I hope a future GeeTasks update will add this feature. Then it will be absolutely perfect!

I've been using GeeTasks for years, but in the past few days, it has lost its ability to sync with Google. Specifically, it claims to sync - it goes through the procedure without giving any error messages - but none of the tasks download. The app shows that I have five tasks, whereas the web interface of Google Tasks shows dozens. I am running iOS6.1.2 on an iPad 3.

Geetasks was working fine, version 1.55, with all three of my gmail accounts. Then, the other day, one and only one, started acting up.

I didn't change anything in any of my accounts. But now, whenever geetasks synches I get the following error message:

Error Synchronizing ("Prepare MFA emails to UT grads"): precondition failed 412

I deleted the task in question, assuming that it might be some glitch tied to that, but every time geetasks tries to synchronize, i continue to get that error message, even though that task has been deleted from my phone and deleted in tasks in that gmail account.

For what it's worth, that task did have a "related email" attached to it in gmail tasks.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I went through the troubleshooting tips. (I checked with Safari and tasks works fine there; I didn't enable two-step verification; as far as i know my account is not locked out since everything else works.) Do I need to install an update?

Thanks,

-parker

When using multiple accounts the All Tasks option is all the tasks within the account you've selected. This works well in a single account context however once attempting to track tasks across multiple accounts, for example a work list & private list things get tricky.

When using multiple accounts it would be advantageous to be able to see all tasks from all accounts in a single consolidated view.

The ability to see all tasks within an account is still of great value so I would suggest an additional button for the All Tasks - All Accounts view. The same sort options as the current All Tasks (Date, Status, Title, etc.)

Thanks!
Brad

Can anyone point me in the direction on how to keep your desktop Gmail task list window open all the time? I have it synching with GeeTask Pro, but anytime I have it as Pop-Out if I go to any other screen it disappears, than I have to go to Gmail and reopen it every time I need it. Would like to just have it sit in the corner or on my second monitor, etc. Any help??

Request to add checkbox option to have new tasks added to bottom of list (instead of top).

Hi - Can you please add an option to have new tasks added to the bottom of the task list instead of the top?

The way I use Google Tasks (via Gmail) is that new tasks naturally are put at the bottom. It's just how the Task window seems to work (it's scrolled to the bottom of the list and lets me easily enter new tasks at the bottom) and I've gotten very used to it. But in Gee Tasks, new tasks always get put at the top. I then have to manually move by dragging each new task to the bottom of my list so my task list is consistent (all new items at the bottom). It would really be nice to have a checkbox for "Add new tasks to bottom of list" that would allow me and others to make this the default behavior. Or am I missing something in GeeTasks or how Tasks in Gmail work? I ask because I'm surprised this issue has been raised by others. I searched but couldn't find it here.)

Thanks!
Glenn (a dedicated GeeTasks user)

Hi Denis,

I use geetasks for a long time and this is the first time, that I write a feature request:

1) I think, you should support the notification-center. There is a threat, I know…

2) I love the Subtask-feature. Is there a way to add a function to collapse and unfold the main-tasks? This feature would help to overview a long list of tasks/subtasks.

By the way: I would pay for such new features!!!

Thanks for your great work and greets from Germany

Just some miscellaneous suggestions for your consideration. I am a registered users, and various pieces of the functionality is in other Google Task managers. I prefer geeTasks though :-)

In addition / rather than changing font size by squishing finger motion, use a thin (not bold) font, and fully scroll the entire text of the task subject. For people that use the GTD methodology, you have lots of long titles. Squishing doesn't help

Add a button that "purges" completed tasks - i.e., deletes them locally and on the server

Thanks!

No one can claim to have a messier desk than me. This is why I am trying to use your fine app for task organization on my Ipad/android. (Being able to access the tasks for instance when I have a bright idea while watching t v gives me a fighting chance of keeping the list up to date and active and useful.) I have case names and then I am having indented tasks under them. Is there a way to a-z other than by hand, the unindented headings/tasks?

thank you,

If this feature is already available, I haven't found it… It would be nice to be able to uncheck all items in a list. For example, I have a packing list that I use every time I travel. It would be nice to be able to "reset" the task list by unchecking all items in the list so it's ready to use the next time I need to pack. Thanks!
