3. If you flip your iPad upside-down you will also be able to get the bottom bar to scroll out of view when there are too many tasks to fit on screen.

Now about sorting:

First, have you considered creating a separate task list for each client?
Second, you say that you wish to have the top-level tasks (headings) sorted. Do you also need the next-level tasks (sub-tasks) sorted among themselves, or only the top-level tasks?

For request #2 - press "edit" button and then find "purge" button at the bottom-left corner. :)

For request #1 you have a point there… Currently the title of the task is in bold and it runs several lines if there is enough space (you can change the cell size by using vertical pinch/squeeze gesture, and font size with horizontal gesture), and the description takes one line in thin, smaller font. Now that you mentioned it, it looks sort of backwards - the title should be one bold line, and the description should be several lines of thin text, unless there is no description in which case the entire title should take whole space. Hm. Let me think of that.

1. Make sure the button at the bottom-left says "sort:none" by pressing it a few times until it does. Tasks can be either ordered naturally, or sorted, and for indent to work they can't be sorted.
2. Press "edit" button at the top-right
3. Press you finger into a task and slide it right or left. The task will become indented / un-indented.

Does this help?

1. In addition / rather than changing font size by squishing finger motion, use a thin (not bold) font, and fully scroll the entire text of the task subject. For people that use the GTD methodology, you have lots of long titles. Squishing doesn't help
2. Add a button that "purges" completed tasks - i.e., deletes them locally and on the server

When the error message pops up it should have a "Don't show this again" button. Press this button, and you won't see the message again.

I am finishing the feature now. No more than a month is left.

I've installed the free version and installed the silver trial— Denis, would you extend my trial as well so I can use two separate apps for at least 2 of my 3 task accounts?

Sorry about the mixup.

When I move a task to another category I get the following message in a popup window: "Moving tasks across lists is currently disabled due to changes made by Google. Please wait for the next update 1.43 due around September 5th to get this functionality back".

I'd attach a screenshot, but I can't figure out how to do that in this forum.

Is this a known bug? I haven't seen anything in the forums or app store reviews.

There is a way to export/import Google Tasks between Gmail accounts. It's a little clunky. I did it with 35 lists and 300+ tasks, but once it was in the new Gmail account I had to manually set up the 35 lists again (since that info was lost in translation) and then move, one by one, my tasks into their respective lists (categories). You can use it at:

1. Open the details of a task

2. Tap "Belongs to List" and a new window comes up with the title of the task as the window title and I choose the list that I want to move the task to

3. A new window comes up with the name of the task as the title for the window, but this time it's the task list that is the content - that's the first strange part - I would have expected the name of the list to be the title - no biggie. Also, the back button is labelled with the title of the LIST that it happens to be displaying.

4. Tapping that back button does not change the list on screen, but just changes the title of the screen to the actual list title, and also changes the label in the back button to now read "Lists".

I noticed this a few times and just assumed I perhaps didn't actually tap the back button. Today, I moved about 6 tasks though, and noticed what was going on, only because I had to tap the back button about 6 times to actually get back to the "Lists" screen. Each time I tapped back, I had the same list as the window content, but the title would change to each of the task names that I had just moved. Everything moved OK, so it's really not a big problem, but I thought perhaps others could confirm this behavior.

Checking through forums I read about the swipe left option, so I'm going to give that a try and perhaps not look back :)

Think about this: you create a daily recurring task in GeeTasks, what do you expect to see in Google Tasks web site? 365 different tasks for the next year? And what should happen after a year? Another option would be to create a single task due on the next occurrence, and then adjust the due date when you complete that one… the problem here is that if you open Google Tasks web site and complete the task that way, and then, say, delete that task, GeeTasks will not be able to re-set the due date. Now, it can recover the deleted task, but this will create an "undead" task - one you can never delete through Google's Web site. Whichever way I look at it, it's bad user experience.

The only idea I have is to let you create a "recurring task" that simply asks you each time you complete it, if you would like to create a new instance of this task for tomorrow, next week etc…. Of course if you forgot to take your vitamins today, tomorrow there won't be a task waiting for you, so this is not a great solution either.

I'm open to suggestions, maybe together we can brainstorm something.
