A majority of my tasks originate from an email (using the add to tasks function in gmail). Is there a way to link to the related email? I know it probably can't be done in-app, but can it take you to the email in safari?
I thought I looked into it before and came up with negative answer, but just now I looked again, and yes, I can most certainly do that.
You would have to be signed in to the right account already, but other than that it will just work. I already had a work-item for this in my own to-do list, so I just bumped up the priority, because this will both improve parity with Google Tasks web site and is relatively easy to do. This will certainly come before multiple account support.
Excellent. Looking forward to this feature Dennis. This is a great product I've now come to rely on. Cheers!
Denis,
Really happy that your working on this. Overall an awesome product. This Task manager has become the application I use the most on my Iphone.
Robert
Well, this feature has been coded and is passed on to beta-testers. Stay tuned for the upcoming release.
If you will have the ability to get access to related emails, is it possible to be able to email a task list from Geetasks?
On an unrelated question, when do you think Geetasks will have the ability to create one list of all items due on a specific day?
Ability to email a task list form GeeTasks is not tied to "related email" access. And yes, it will be done - I really like the idea of people not just tracking their tasks but also collaborating on tasks. BTW, you can already receive and paste a task list from someone else . Would you be happy with sending entire list, or do you prefer to be able to send only a part of the list? Also, would you mind telling me why do you need this feature and what would you use it for?
The cross-list view is probably 4-6 weeks away.
Thanks for your reply. I am really looking forward to the cross-list view.
As for emailing a list, I spend more time out of the office than in and it would make my life a lot easier to share information and client related tasks. Sending an entire list would work very well for me as opposed to items although both are attractive features.
Mike, would you do me a favor and send me an email? I would like to discuss your use case in more detail. I realize your schedule is busy, and I hope the resulting improvements in the app will make up the lost time to you.
Will do and thank you.
