Are you sure about using round checkbox buttons in the latest release? They feel very wrong to me. Isn't it a defacto standard that task checkboxes are square? I was shot down for asking if you could optionally move the checkmarks to the right hand side because it wasn't 'normal' - circular checkboxes are certainly not!

Howdy. These are actually standard checkboxes you can see in mail app, hence why I chose them - to upset the smallest number of people at once.
Of course as with all matters of taste there is no pleasing everyone, so I apologize to those who were wronged with last change - someone had to be hurt, either all of the people who complained about previous appearance, or all who got used to the old ways. I will make the app skinnable a some point, so that should then alleviate the conflict, but for now the tyranny of the majority shall rule the roost.
@Denis - I think you may have misunderstood the demand for a more polished UI as demand to change the check box. I too feel a check box is more intuitive and appropriate in a tasks list setting.
That just goes to show you - can't please everyone. There were people asking for "standard" UI elements, specifically for the round checkbox. :)
I know this sounds like a bit of a task but how about giving the users a settings menu to choose what they want their UI features to look like such as the:
-check box/circle,
-strike-through text for completed or grey out,
-check boxes left or right
Just a suggestion, which i thought may please the crowd more?
Yeah. Like I said before I will make the app skinnable. It's just no going to be a high-priority item for me.
